Vatican, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum, hop on off bus tour, gluten-free pizza, and 150 flavours of gelato! 🍨

Today I walked 23,968 steps even though I also used public transportation.

I sang “Three Coins in A Fountain” before throwing my coin into the Trevi Fountain.

Thankfully our tour of the Vatican was booked as the crowds and lineups were less holy and more hellish.

We found gelato made from Heineken beer and another from Champagne.

After my hectic day I devoured a delicious gluten-free Margherita pizza for dinner. 🍕

Rome

After enduring a very long trip (27 hrs. with a 5 hr. layover in Paris) we have arrived at our Hotel Vallee. 🇮🇹While waiting for our flight, we entertained our fellow weary and sleep deprived passengers with a performance of Besame Mucho🎶

We just had a late pasta dinner followed by gelato 🍨 before collapsing into bed.

Tomorrow we tour the Vatican.

Tour through Italy – June 5 – 19, 2019

This year, I will be going to Italy with the Capilano University Singers for a 15 day performing tour.

We will be visiting Rome, Orvietto, Arezzo, Cortona, Florence, Lucca, Ravenna, and Venice.

We will be singing in many historical churches and visiting important galleries, ruins, and museums as we can.

Some of the highlights of the tour are singing in La Pieta – Vivaldi’s Church in Venice, visiting the Uffizi Galery and Accademia in Florence, and touring the Vatican and Saint Peter’s Basilica.

I am so excited to be able to share all of my travels with you through this blog. I hope to update it as often as I can while travelling.
